Moulin de Lalande is not just a holiday home, it is our second home, a place to unwind and enjoy all the good things that are offered by the environment, nature, charming villages, friendly people and great food and drinks . With great passion we transformed this house into a gem with all conceivable comfort and attractive decor. We hope that you will enjoy our house, garden and swimming pool just as much as we do!
THE HOUSE
Tucked away in a valley with a small stream, "Le Ruisseau de Saint-Martre" and surrounded by the vineyards of Cahors, lies "Moulin de Lalande." This detached, stone house is situated on the border of three departments; Lot, Lot-et-Garonne and Tarn-et-Garonne. It is also on the border of the regions of Aquitaine and Midi-Pyrénées.
The original house (150m²) dates from the 19th century with traditional thick walls, "Pierres blancs de Quercy" and old wooden beams, is furnished with a contemporary twist and has room for max. 6 people with a garden of 2,200 m² where children can cavort, play football, play in the river behind the garden or enjoy the hammock in the shade of the trees. And do not forget to admire the beautiful starry sky.
The house, which is about 150 years old, has been completely restored and equipped with all modern comforts. From the terrace you walk into the house and into the open kitchen which is equipped with cooking equipment for a real kitchen prince (ss), with fridge / freezer, dishwasher, gas stove (5 burners) with oven, Nespresso coffee maker and traditional coffee maker, kettle, blender etc .. Adjacent you will find the dining area with table, 6 chairs, Tripp Trapp high chair and storage room with WC.
The living room has a sitting area, fireplace and satellite TV. Via the stairs you reach the hallway with two bedrooms with double beds (box spring) and a bathroom with washbasin, shower and WC. Another flight of stairs and you will find the third bedroom with two single beds (box spring) which may be placed together to form one double bed.
The private pool (8 x 4m) with wooden terrace and outdoor shower is located further to the south west facing Sun terrace which has a table, chairs, loungers, parasols and a BBQ. From there you have a beautiful view of the surrounding woods and fields with no immediate neighbours so really private.
Here, no large-scale tourism activity but keywords such as nature, tranquility, space, silence, authenticity and conviviality.
